Smith Concrete, a division of The Shelly Company, is hosting a “Rolling for Autism” Dice Run on Sunday, June 12, 2016 to benefit Autism Speaks. Autism Speaks, founded in 2005, is an organization that is dedicated to funding global medical research into the causes, prevention, treatment and cure for autism. One in 68 children are affected by autism, boys being four times more likely to have autism than girls. Autism Speaks attempts to bring together the community to help support the fight for finding the missing pieces to the puzzle and to help change the future for all those who struggle with autism disorders.
If you want to help support Autism Speaks, registration opens for the “Rolling for Autism” Dice Run at 9 am on Sunday, June 12. Tickets are $15 per person or $20 per couple, including free food! Although this is a motorcycle run, all vehicles are welcomed.
The event will start and finish on 26650 State Route 7, Marietta, Ohio 45750. The Dice Run will begin at 10 am and end around 4 pm. There will be four stops a (Marietta, Athens, Belpre and Gallipolis), where participants will roll the dice and keep a tally on their own scorecard. Following the run, there will be an auction with special guest auctioneer, former Colorado Rockies pitcher, Kevin Ritz. The event will also have live music and door prizes. 100% of the funds raised will benefit Autism Speaks.
