As Vice President, he played a key role in multiple acquisitions, led the company to an impressive safety record and contributed to increased revenue, sales, and net profit during his tenure. Prior to joining Rogers Group, Tim spent more than two decades at Lehigh Hanson – Heidelberg Cement Group in roles of increasing responsibility.

Paul Cuthbert

Paul leads and manages our Southern Division in all aspects of safety, operations, finance, QC, and critical support functions. He is responsible for ensuring effective execution of the operations performance and growth strategy.

Paul began his career as a scale and job cost clerk with Michigan Paving & Materials and completed his bachelor’s degree at The University of Toledo. During his 15-year tenure with MPM, Paul held various positions within operations, logistics and sales, culminating in the role of Vice President, Sales & Logistics. Transitioning to The Shelly Company Southern Division in January of 2021, Paul held the role of Vice President of Sales and Logistics and most recently as Vice President of Operations.

Chad Reel

Chad Reel was promoted to the position of General Manager for Shelly Northeast in 2020 following a successful tenure as Vice President of Materials for Shelly Northeast. Since joining the company in 2007, Chad has held responsibility at one time or another across lines of business including aggregates, asphalt, construction and sales.

Tim Rowan was promoted to the position of General Manager for Shelly Northwest after a successful tenure as General Manager of Asphalt and Construction in the Northwest Division. Tim joined the company in 2001. He previously served 16 years at the Ohio Department of Transportation. His experience includes working for the Northwest Division as an area manager for both Belle Center and Maumee locations.

Dusty Miller

Dusty Miller was promoted to Vice President and General Manager (VP/GM) for the Ready Mix Division following a successful tenure as Chief Operating Officer for the Ready Mix Division. He joined the construction industry as a laborer in 1999 and assumed roles of increasing responsibility, including Customer Service and Dispatch Representative, Quality Control Technician, Area Manager, Regional Sales Representative and General Manager for Medina Supply. Dusty has been a member of several performance teams and held leadership positions on the Ohio Concrete Futures Board and the Ohio Concrete Board of Directors.

Erin Smith is Chief Financial Officer of The Shelly Company. Erin joined the company in May of 2022 following a successful tenure at Dana, Inc., a Tier 1 automotive supplier of propulsion and energy management solutions. She began her career at Dana in Enterprise Risk Management and progressed through roles of increasing responsibility in operational and corporate finance including: Investor Relations and strategic planning, Plant Controller, Treasury management, Group Controller, and Financial Planning and Analysis. Erin earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mount Union and an M.B.A from Bowling Green State University.

Mickey Gourley

Heather Rutter joined The Shelly Company as Human Resources Manager in 2011. Her career began at MPW Industrial Services where she served in multiple progressive roles with a focus on safety training, HR administration and management. Throughout her tenure with The Shelly Company, Heather’s responsibilities included HR management for all divisions within the organization. She also served on numerous functional committees for both America’s Materials and CRH. This range of management and leadership experience led to Heather earning a promotion into the role of Director of Human Resources in 2021. Heather earned a bachelor’s degree from Muskingum College and an M.B.A from Bowling Green State University.

April Bott

April Bott joins The Shelly Company after 25-years as an environmental and natural resources lawyer in Ohio, most
recently as a partner at Taft and Bott Law. During her time in private practice, April represented The Shelly
company in several pieces of litigation against Ohio EPA and ODNR and has worked with us as an outside counsel
since 2005. April is a graduate of the Ohio State College of Law.
