The 16th Annual Ohio Aggregates and Industrial Minerals Association (OAIMA) Legislative Reception at the Ohio Statehouse was a well-attended and very successful event. OAIMA members, including Shelly Company representatives, spoke with their Ohio lawmakers regarding their concerns about HB277 (Rep. Stautberg) that would make changes to the Type 2, Expedited Annexation process. The bill, as passed by committee, would further limit access to local aggregate sources and add costs through expensive and time-consuming litigation.
In addition, Shelly representatives expressed their support for State Issue 1 – the State Capital Improvements Program that would authorize $1.875 Billion in local government infrastructure aid and jobs for the economy.
The Shelly Company is a long-time partner of many industry associations like OAIMA. As a member of the associations, The Shelly Company will continue to support efforts to keep Ohio’s infrastructure at the forefront – promoting safe quality roads and Ohio jobs.
