The Shelly Company’s Dresden Wildlife Habitat Site Community Fall Festival – All Invited

August 21, 2014 By e3admin

(Dresden) – On, Sunday, September 28, from 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., The Shelly Company’s Dresden Wildlife Habitat Site will be hosting its Annual Community Fall Festival featuring fun, educational outdoor activities for all ages. New activities for this year include a scavenger hunt, birdhouse workshop and boat rides. Return visitors can still expect to see the bass tournament weigh-in, bring fishing poles for catch and release, enjoy hay wagon rides, pick a pumpkin and freshly grilled hamburgers and hotdogs along with other refreshments. The festival and the above activities are free of cost and open to the public.

The event will also host its 5th Annual 5K Run / Walk. Pre-registration is now open through September 24. To pre-register there is a $5 entry fee and guaranteed event shirt. Please email shyoung@nullshellyco.com to pre-register. Registration for the 5K after September 24 up to the day of the event starts at 9:30 a.m. and has a $10 entry fee with limited shirts. The 5K event starts at 10:30 a.m. with the help of Mr. Smith from Sheridan High School (Thornville, OH). Proceeds from the 5K will go to The Shelly Company’s Adopt-A-Family fund.

For safety reasons, visitors are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing for the outdoor environment. Depending on the weather, sunscreen may be advised. Pets and alcohol are not permitted. Please contact Kevin Cooperrider at kcooperrider@nullshellyco.com for more event information. Pictures will be taken at the event and used on The Shelly Company website and social media sites.
